Tiny Home Regulations
Before placing a Mori Cabin on your land, it’s important to understand local regulations regarding tiny homes. Rules vary by country, state, and municipality, so here are key factors to consider:
- Zoning Laws – Some areas classify tiny homes as accessory dwelling units (ADUs), while others restrict permanent residences under a certain size. Check your local zoning codes.
- Building Permits – Depending on size and foundation type, Mori Cabin may require a building permit. Prefabricated structures often have different guidelines.
- Utility Connections – Regulations on off-grid living, water access, and waste management vary. Research if solar, rainwater harvesting, or composting toilets are permitted.
- Mobility & Foundation – If built on wheels, Mori Cabin may be considered an RV or temporary dwelling, affecting placement and usage rules. Permanent foundations may require inspections.
- Community & HOA Rules – If your land is part of a homeowners association (HOA) or a regulated development, additional restrictions may apply.
Every Mori Cabin owner’s situation is unique. Let us know your state and local laws, and we’ll help apply the right conditions for your site.
